Every now and then there are invention ideas that are going to be huge successes not due to the technical mastery by which they were created, but rather the drop-dead common sense that somehow no one on of the Earth’s 7,000,000,000 habitants had the ingenuity to think of. This Smart Light Bulb is one of them.

The smart bulb is a light bulb that stays on even after the power goes out. Note: there’s no magic here, the smart bulb achieves this magic simply by storing a battery within its standard enclosure.

Another cool aspect–the bulb knows the position of the switch that turned it off or on before losing power, so once power is lost and / or restored, the bulb will remain in its current state. Be sure to check out the video to see the magic in action!
